Murchs Corner Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)
Overview
Our team is working in partnership with local landowners in Darlington to develop the Murchs Corner Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), a proposed project designed to support Victoria’s renewable energy network and provide greater local energy reliability. The Murchs Corner BESS is a landowner-led initiative that reflects the spirit of regional collaboration and long term sustainability. The project will store renewable energy efficiently, helping balance supply and demand across Victoria’s growing network of wind and solar generation. Alternate Path is providing communications and stakeholder engagement support, ensuring the project remains transparent, accessible, and community-focused throughout its planning and delivery. By investing in storage infrastructure like Murchs Corner, Victoria moves closer to its renewable energy and emissions goals, while creating pathways for innovation and community benefit across the Western District.
